I got a BIG belly laugh out of this one. I made that very mistake this summer. Just wanted to know how to get back to I-40. The person at the gas station couldn't tell me. It turned out that my 6 year old son figure it out for me. Not sure what that says about the Cary folks or me for that matter.

I am now (May 1015) thinking about moving to Cary. I see all the posts are 8 years old.

Any advice out there on re-locating in Cary today vs., say, Apex?

Cary is 3 to 3.5 times more populous than Apex.
Both are fine, well-run towns.
And, if you cruise around the forum, you will find a lot of newer threads and posts about all areas of the Triangle.
What do you seek that is important in a place to live?

There is a new post every day or two about moving to Cary. Not sure where you're looking, but Cary is a hot town on this forum.

I was told people in Cary are snooty
When people tell you garbage like this, remind them that you cannot generalize a population of 100K+ people with one word.
