AT&T is widely regarded to have if not the worst, certainly one of the worst customer service depts ever. We're talking legendary, worse even than Time-Warner or Verizon. I would do anything other than go w/them for anything.

Then again no way would I spend what a lot of people do for cable, internet, and/or phone. I currently pay just slightly over $100 for all 3 (slower 'net speeds which are plenty for me, more basic phone services etc).

LoveUVerse is on a distinguished road
This is not DSL. It's an entirely new fiber-based technology, which they are rolling out all over the country. It's pretty new here.

I can tell you U-Verse works, and has worked since day 1. But if it ever gives me any trouble, the installer gave me both his and his regional director's business card--their direct lines, no "marque el numero dos para español" phone maze. The last time I tried to get my TWC cable buried, it took several months. Finally I asked my city councilman to have someone at Cary's utility department contact TWC management. Could YOU reach any TWC manager if you had a problem?

I can do things TWC can only dream of doing, like pausing live tv in one room and resuming it in another. I can manage my Flickr account, or see my online photos from my TV. I get free Wi-Fi at any McDonalds or Starbucks in the country. I get 3MB Internet + 200 channels for $102 (1 TV). Can you do that with TWC?

U-Verse is NOT DSL and its end result is leaps and bounds ahead of what TWC can give you.

AT&T are having to roll out an entirely new network to this area so I don't expect them to get it perfect in all areas in one go. Give them time. It usually (from what I've heard) takes about 2 months from when you initially see AT&T digging up your neighborhood to the service being available in your area. There's a lot of work involved in rolling something like this out and they have only so many people doing the on-site work.
