I am in HSP/FV and the two stations down the street had plenty of petro...one at $4.19 for regular and the other...not even 200 yards at $3.89

My thought was, who the hell is setting their prices or buying their gas?

In Chapel Hill and Carrboro, prices have stabilized at $3.999-4.099 per gallon. Gas everywhere, no lines.

I wonder how Easley's price-gouging investigations are going?

OMG, I get a call from my girl telling me about all the rationing and gouging that is going on (I've been working here in CA for 3 weeks). Someone is manipulating something. Here in Ca, I've been paying a 'hefty' 3.67 a gallon. Just yesterday. And she tells me she had to buy gasoline at 4.07 in Durham with no 87 available. What's goin' on? Time to raise a ruckus, people.

I went to the Exxon station on Lumley Road near the airport after going to the gas stations listed in the original post. I needed gas bad since I was near empty. Wound up getting gas for $4.04 for regular. Next day, the other stations were still out, and the Exxon on Lumley not only still had gas, but had gone down to $3.99.
