I kept telling all of you how Im getting ready to move the end of August from Michigan to Raleigh. Im here and I cant even remotely begin to express how much I totally love it here! The people are soooo polite, we moved here from MI but only there a couple years, we're actually born and raised in Cali and altho its my "homestate" so to speak, no one is as polite and nice as all of you in this city. The only other time I got to be around sincere people was when my husband was military and they stationed us for 6 yrs in Germany, they were seriously nice as well. Im loving this!
Not to mention people here know what shopping is, I mean there must be a bazillion (ok ok thats exagerating) places to shop, not all are malls but all are excellent! Its sooo nice to have Trader Joes again. Now to find the outdoor markets with flowers to put in a vase(since i have no green thumb) and fruits n veggies n breads and all that jazz. Any ideas? Also, is there a place in the Fall such as a pumpkin farm or something like that? I tried looking things up but I keep getting cities WAYYY far away!

Ok thats all for now, but Im sooo in love with Raleigh!!!

Welcome to the Triangle! We've been here for 5 months now and also LOVE it here. As far as buying fruits and veggies - the Raleigh Farmers Market is a must! We go every weekend to stock up. Rt 40, exit 297. In addition to the usual suspects such as produce, there are fresh bakery stands, cheese stands along with a wide variety of jams, jellies, salsa etc!

Heyyyyy...I remember you! And I'm still jealous! Glad you made it down there ok and that all is well. Our home is still on the market -- we just dropped our price for the first time today. I look forward to making my own similar post soon enough!

All right, it's our turn!!! I'm jealous too!!! Glad the op are enjoying it! There are Farmer's markets in the towns. I know Wake Forest has one. Just search the town websites. You also have the flea market at the state fairgrounds.

Default Hill Ridge Farms

I am not sure where you are living, but Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville might have what you are looking for in a Pumpkin patch. It is a great day out for children and adults. There is a website to see what they have going on. www.hillridgefarms.com

If you have young kids, this is the place to go for your pumpkins. Plan on making a day of...they have tons of stuff to keep everyone busy.

If all that you want is pumpkins, the farmesrs market is GREAT! *you'll leave with more than pumpkins!* LOL
