Thriving small town charm, main street...where to find?
Can anyone recommend a pretty, small town with thriving old-time main street? I've driven through some areas around here that "used to be" main streets but are now abandoned looking. I'd like to find a real charming looking "downtown" with that small-town feel. Thanks.

Apex? Not sure if that qualifies, but I think it has that "small town" feel.

Carrboro doesnt quite feel like a "small town" but I really like their downtown area. There's a lot going on
