Question Fall Athletics Leagues: Need a player?

First off, I'm new to the board...so hi, everyone, I look forward to "meeting" all of you.

On to the point of the thread...

I've only living in Raleigh a few months, and I would really like to get involved with athletics this fall. Unfortunately, none of my friends are available to get involved with me, so I really don't have the resources right now to start an entire team.

Does anyone know what kind of fall athletic programs there are in town (church, city sponsored, etc.)? Second, does anyone need a player? I'm a pretty good basketball player and a decent football player.

I play in mostly work leagues but the Triangle has a club for just about every sport imaginable. check them out, my friends are part of it and they enjoy the social and competitive aspects: triangle sports club (TRI SPORTS, where Triangle professionals come to Meet and Compete!)

Deadbolt - I'm in the same boat, been looking to stay active as well... Just recently moved here for FL. I also consider myself a decent (not tall) basketball player, so if you need someone to join your team please let me know. I also play football, not my main sport, but I'm fairly quick.

Thank you for the link GenerAznX, but I'm just a day late for the flag football, just my luck.

Definitely try out Tri Sports. A friend of mine is a member and this is a very active group.

YMCAs have basketball leagues, including age-specific ones.

You can always just show up on the off chance they need a player. It happens a lot with the Tri Sports leagues.
