The weather was so nice today that I decided to play hooky with my wife and head down toe Lake Johnson Park. Thanks to a previous post from Beckycat I knew we would be able to rent a boat there and enjoy an afternoon out on the lake. We rented a small johnboat with an electric motor for $8/hour. The lake is not huge (150 acres) but it makes for a nice afternoon cruise and I saw a few people fishing too. In addition to the lake there are some nice walking trail loops there as well which you can view on this map of the park. Here are a few pictures from our 1 hour cruise on Lake Johnson.

NRG,
I so appreciate your pictures. This has been a favorite lake of mine. I ride with a group on Thursdays and we make our way to "boathouse" and there they have rocking chairs that overlook the lake and it has become one of my favorite things to do. It is so relaxing taking in the beauty of the lake while rocking. Thanks again. Last edited by SALUKI_LOVER; 10-03-2008 at 07:20 AM.. Reason: typo |
