You can go to the bird watch parking lot off 751 but bring a back pack and cooler with plenty of water if you go in the summer.
It about a 20 minute hike to the lake from the parking lot but it a fun hike you will see oodles of trails and at some point they will go by the lake. Depending on rain fall some may have a beach area. From my experience the land slope gradual down in the water and doesnt really go over your head unless you go way out in the lake.y
There is also plenty of woods in this area to get out of sun if needed becareful during hunting season however but it a nice remote place to relax enjoy the occasional bald eagle fly by and enjoy some peace.

our lakes are muddy looking compared to northern crystal clear lakes. between the silt and the warmth in the summer, you cannot see bottom except where pretty shallow.

still, you can't beat the warmth in the summer time. my kids won't even put there toes into northern lakes (think Maine) because they are so cold! so muddy or not, the kids prefer falls lake!

falls lake has several swimming areas - roped off so that boaters won't encroach.
