Just got a $4k quote from a company. I needed a 352 linear feet , wood picket fence no more than 4' tall. With one gate. Is this too high of a quote?

haven't figured what 352 ft looks like, but sounds high for 4' tall fence.
DM me if you want name of person/company I used.

Last year I paid $15.08 per LF for my 5' tall fence.. so your $11.37 doesn't sound outrageous.

For that kind of dough, I would take a few weekends and build my own .... but then again that's just me

I thought ~$2400 for 165' and two gates was reasonable, especially considering how heavily wooded my backyard is. I can put together a bookcase or build a computer, but fences.. not my thing!

edit: Here's a pic!

I was given a $3 per foot price for 7ft tall DEER FENCE. Probably not too pretty and i wouldn't want the whole yard fenced. Do you know of any better price than that?

We did our own shadow box fence..about 150 feet with 5/4 board 6 foot high for around $300..

Got the 5/4 board for free from others taking their decks out and paid for the 4 X 4s and 2 X 4 stringers...cut neat points with holes at the top--took 3 days to assemble--4 weeks to cut the boards...
