Default Orange County approves Buckhorn Village

Does anyone have any thoughts on the newly approved Buckhorn Village project ? This is like 2 miles from my home, at I-85/40 exit 157 . I wonder if it will increase my property values?

Full article here:
Top News: Buckhorn development plans move forward | buckhorn, development, forward : Burlington Times News

Some Excerpts:
Massive Buckhorn project among largest ever for Orange planners

By approving the petition, which was originally submitted in December 2007 by a group of three Chapel Hill developers, Orange County officials gave the green light to a 1.14-million-square-foot shopping center on 128 acres off Interstate 85/40 just across the county line from Mebane.

Since the plans - which called for a few dozen stores with a couple of large, unnamed anchors, offices, hotels, restaurants and about 200 condominiums - were submitted, there have been two public hearings and numerous revisions by planning and advisory board members.

The development is close in size to Durham's Streets at Southpoint and Concord's Concord Mills.

While the anchors have never been officially named, the persistent rumor is that outdoor retail giant Cabela's could be one of them. Whatever it is, the developers have described the project as "destination retail," meaning it would draw shoppers from many miles around.

While I suppose the people who live near there may appreciate the convenience, and it might spark more development in the area (just what this area needs -- more sprawl development!), I don't think I'll travel up there to visit Just Another Mall.

Well, ADV and 2B, suspect we're neighbors, live on a close road off of 70, am the troll that lives back in the woods. I've also heard the rumors, particularly of a Cabelas becoming another neighbor. Am of two minds, 1. I like the flea market (pulga- in Spanish), but.... I speak Spanish and enjoy Hispanics, also, you can find almost anything in there- just gotta know where to look. Since I both hunt and fish, the notion of a Cabelas is also appealing.
