NC's taxes are about average for the country, but high for the Southeast, I believe. It's still higher because suppliers and retailers are probably still trying to recover lost profits as a result of the hurricane Ike shortages.

$2.35 today at 3 or 4 stations on New Bern avenue, at the bottom of New Hope. Yet another positive to living in Hedingham I say!!

Agreed. I'm thankful that gas is at the 2.40 to 2.50 level regardless.
