I moved to Chapel Hill in Dec 2005. I understand at the end of this year (2008), the town (maybe county) is going to do it's 4 year re-assessment of home property values. Anyone have any info on this? When does the info come out or can we find out now what the new tax rates will be? Anyone living in Chapel Hill have opinions on what they think is going to happen, especially in light of the housing problems? My taxes are already 4K/yr, I can hardly take another hit!!!!!!!!!!
