Default baking/catering supply?

I've lived here awhile, but recently started baking as a hobby. Getting tired of going through so many rolls of parchment paper, foil, etc. Does anyone know of a baking supply store where they might be sold in greater quantity?

I've checked BJ's, but they don't seem to carry parchment paper at all, let alone in larger rolls. And of course the grocery stores just carry the one lonely, skinny roll of it.

I'd especially to learn of any places in northern or western Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill... but if I must go further, I guess I must. Thanks in advance!

a Google search like this should help...

Restaurant Supply near Raleigh

The first hit is United, which we do visit, because they're kinda near us. We like them. But they are on the south side of Raleigh.

To get to them, take the Saunders St exit off of I-40/440, then head South. It might be a mile or less. They are in an old-ish white building, on the right side of the road, after you pass several gas stations. I think the name of the store is in white and red painted along the side of the building.

It's one-way traffic right there because of a median, so don't miss the parking area, it's on the North side of the building. If you pass in front of the store, it's too late. In other words, turn right, into the parking area (which is steep in places), just before you get to the store.

Yes, I was about to mention that place south of Raleigh. And you DO have to be watching for it. They aren't kidding when they say "restaurant" supply--I went in looking for some things for my home kitchen, but everything comes in bulk sizes or dozens! It's fascinating.

I'd also go to United Restaurant Supply.

On other boards, I've heard good things about NC Paper Store in Clayton for baking supplies specifically. There is also a restaurant supply in North Durham called Herndon, but I've never been and haven't really heard any reviews.

I called United Restaurant Supply, & they do not have large rolls of parchment. Really glad I called to ask before driving 45 minutes each way! Thanks for letting me know about the place anyway... might still be fun to pay a visit next time I'm on the way to Wilmington.

I ended up going to A Southern Season in Chapel Hill. The rolls I got are 71 ft. long, vs. the 24 ft. rolls sold in most grocery stores.

In the future, I may look at ordering parchment online, if cost-effective.
