Default Where are the best furniture deals?

Can anyone suggest a good place to go for furniture deals in Raleigh? Should I try going to High Point for a good deal?

I'm interested in this, too, if anyone has some good suggestions. I know my parents (from out of state) flew down to the High Point area and bought all their furniture from a place called Furnitureland South. However, that was 7 or 8 years ago and I have no idea if they're competitive or not today.

High Point is the place. Furnitureland South is a well known store in High Point and sells very nice and high end stuff, but there are tons of furniture stores in High Point as my wife and I discovered by driving a little bit down the road, and into town. High Point is the Mecca of furniture store, but like anything else, shop around while you are there.

Yeah, definitely go into town. (Which is actually just 1 main street -- not much to the town.) My husband got a great deal on a custom leather sofa & love seat set at one of the smaller places. We didn't really find much we like at Furnitureland South, but that's probably just a matter of taste.
