Pizza Hut is coming to Holly Springs....
Current Projects&Activity Reports, Holly Springs, NC
It looks like we are getting a Pizza Hut in Holly Springs near Walgreens and Wendy's. Pretty cool.
I still can't wait for Target to come too! It is so exciting about all the new stores coming here! Holly Springs has really grown fast!

Growing
Yes, lots of exciting things! There is also going to be a Lowes (hardware) behind Wal-Mart. I am hoping that the hospital gets approved--that would be great for the area as well. And it looks like the Harris Teeter is finally starting to happen.
I am hoping we get some things other than chains though. For example, we still go to Fuquay for pizza (Assagio's) and I like to go to Stevens hardware as opposed to home depot or lowes when I can.
In any case, lots of great things are happeining in Holly Springs.

Pizza Hut?
And people wonder why our local economies are in bad shape. Yes, Pizza Hut is a franchise, and it may indeed have a local owner and local employees, but a large percentage of the profits are still being shipped away to Yum! Brands food. Does it make sense to anyone that it would be better for all of the profits to be kept here?
I know not everyone (myself included) can avoid the Big Box stores and restaurants 100% of the time, but by supporting a local, independent pizza place, you are directly putting food on that person's table. The Pizza Hut will not go under if you don't go there, but the local guy will.

I've tried a lot of the local pizza around here and a lot of has a cardboard feel to it. No thanks! Pizza Hut is yummy. I for one am excited to hear the news since the Cary one is too far, the Fuquay one has the worst service imaginable.
Thanks for posting.

We came from CT, and the pizza search has been difficult to say the least. It seems that many people like Domino's, which we dont consider pizza at all.
For those northerners who want pizza that they will recognize, try Assagios in Fuquay. It is a longer ride for us (and maybe for you as well) but its worth every mile.

I like Pizza Hut too! Until I find a local place with great pizza, it's Pizza Hut for me!

Another small town is swallowed by the Sprawl
I will point out that the good thing, and I find it hard to say anything nice about minimalls, is that it allows for other spaces to open up for some local business. Some of them might be franchises but are locally owned with better terms for the owners.
Personally I would take the local pizza places over Papa Johns and Pizza Hut any day.

I wouldn't get too excited about Pizza Hut. And pizza from a chain is lousy......its edible is about the best that can said about it. I guess that's where we're spoiled here up north....great pizza here. No need to order from the crappy chains. I would suppose that with more northerners moving to NC, you might get some good locally owned NY pizza places opening down there.
