My wife took the van for the inspection and it failed for the window tint. Can anyone recommend a good place to take it to get the window tint removed?

Thanks in advance!!

Formula One in Apex. They are in the shopping center at the corner of 64 and
Laura Duncan behind Bo's and Taco Bell. See Rikki Davis.

Just a quick question here... have they outlawed window tinting? Or just SOME (the really dark kind) ?

Some vehicles (SUV) have no tinting restriction on back windows. Some (sedan) are severely restricted. Won't pass inspection, and might get you a ticket for improper tinting to go with your new speeding ticket -more an add-on ticket & not likely to get stopped just for this.

Law has always been 30% on side windows in NC.

No restrictions on rear glass.

You can remove the tint yourself with razor blade and "Goof Off" found at Walmart/Lowes/Target etc etc Just test the goof off on your glass first to make sure it doesnt haze. Ive never had it do it to me but just be safe.

Contact this guy:

Professional Audio,Video,Security,Remote Start,Window Tinting and MORE (http://raleigh.craigslist.org/aos/871667946.html - broken link)

He's a little cheaper than any real shop, and he'll come to your home/office. I used him when I failed inspection for tint on my car that used to be registed and legal in Florida.
