I have probably a silly question to post here, but I'll ask anyway. Is there a place anywhere in Durham or Chapel Hill that makes homemade chicken soup? I like my own homemade chicken soup the bestbut I don't feel like making it from scratch today, and I want to take some to a family who is fighting bad colds. Went over to Boston Market near the old South Square, only to find it was out of business. Then, went to Saladelia Cafe, and they didn't have any.

Wow, I forgot Panera. It's just down the street from me at Southpoint. Thanks!

But does Panera soup taste homemade? Most of those processed soups have way too much salt.

Boston Market is still in Chapel Hill--it's over by the Trader Joe's (same general area as Whole Foods if you know where that is). Which also leads to, how about Whole Foods?

Do you have a Sweet Tomato's near by. I love their soups and always bring some home. They make all of their soups fresh daily.

Thanks everyone. I forgot Boston Market in Chapel Hill, and Whole Foods. I know where that is. The others are a long drive from here. It is so hard to find good soup. And for that matter, good sandwiches. Back in Miami we had a lot of good delis around where you could get those thick sandwiches with lots of meat in them. There don't seem to be any here, except that place Schlotsky's Deli, which is also a trek from here.
