Ditto! I think there are many neighborhoods here in Cary that would welcome you and your partner.

that has nothing to do with Cary and the subject is not about the rights of parenting

Do you live in Cary? I think it is important for the OP that someone with this view makes it clear if they live in Cary, as they are asking about Cary.

Sunny Kayak is correct - this thread was about acceptance of a gay couple in Cary. I believe you live in Raleigh. I stand my my assertion that gay couples would be welcomed here in Cary - AND with their adoptive children! Much nicer to see a child welcomed into a loving home by 2 loving parents whatever their sexuality might be.

You find it disgusting to see people smile at each other?

I've been looking to move from Memphis to the triangle and really like chapel hill. I believe someone will always have an issue with what others do its life. As a gay man I speak from experience

Cary or Chapel Hill are my votes.
I've been here (in Cary) for just over a year now and haven't heard
anyone speaking intolerantly at all.

Hope that helps.
PM me if you have any other questions.

Hardly. Reminds me of kids who would neck in the hall in high school. It's extremely immature and in very poor taste and trust me, nobody is impressed, to say the least. You're in a public place; go about your public business and do "private things" in private where they belong.

Generally, I don't get the impression Cary is esp "gay-friendly" or unfriendly...Durham or Asheville are likely more so, though.

I do live in Cary and there probably would not have a problem as long as no PDA of any kind. But if you have children somehow that would be a problem with alot of parents who don't want to have to deal with that issue with their kids and also there would probably be a bigger issue if you expected your kids to play with neighborhood kids. While wanting to be nice to a gay couples child it would put them through too many changes. I'd say with kids stay in a city.
