Default Korean BBQ restaurants?

Hi all,

I have a friend, came over from Korea.
I would like to take him to Korean BBQ tonight.
Could anyone tell me the good Korean BBQ restaurants in Chapel Hill, Durham or Cary?
I found The Korean Steakhouse, but I am not sure it is really good or not?
Thank you very much.

Not to be mean, but if your friend is coming from Korea, wouldn't he want some local cuisine rather than something that is native to him?

But to answer your question, I've been to the one on Capital and it was good.

That is actually a really good point.

I would not want a cheeseburger in Korea, of course the OP didn't state whether or not his/her guest requested that.

Either way, I (as a half-Korean) LOVE Korean food and there are many good places to get it in the US...I just haven't found one in the triangle

NYC and LA I would take a Korean native to, but I'd think that the Korean food here to a native would be analagous to those nasty convenience store hot dogs/hamburgers served in an American restaurant in Korea.

There are two that we go to in Cary and we like them both , but they are not just Barbeque, it's a Korean menu with BBQ as well.
One is Korean Garden on Chatham Street (a bit of a hole in the wall type of place) Korean Garden - Cary, NC, 27511 - Citysearch and Asahi (Japanese and Korean menu) Cary, North Carolina Asahi Korean & Japanese Restaurant - Best Japanese, Korean Cuisine in Cary, NC which is in the TJ Max shopping center off Cary Towne Center Blvd and Walnut Street.

GenerAznX is on a distinguished road
Seoul Garden on Atlantic has good Korean BBQ that you can either have them cook in the back or cook it yourself right at your table. There's always alot of Koreans eating there so you know it's good
