That will depend a whole lot on where you are and how much help you're looking for (live-in, daily, several times a week, weekly, monthly, special occasion...). If you are in a neighborhood where other people likely hire help, I would say that your best bet is to ask your neighbors for recommendations. If you live in an area where the help is typically live-in or daily, it may be harder to get recs because nobody wants have their good maid stolen away! LOL!
