Default Political Phone calls

I must have received close to 16 calls in the last 2 weeks for the party I chose to be affiliated with. I have already voted....does anyone know how to stop these calls from happening 4 years from now?

I'd like to know too. I can't count the number of calls I've gotten from both parties.

ditch your landline. We're a cell-only household and haven't gotten any calls.

In four years you will. The same people, politicians, who reserved the right to harass you on your land line will adapt to the proliferation of cell-only folks.
They will grab cell numbers and the power to begin calling them.

You can judge the character of candidates by whether or not they allow, for their own raw political ambitions, inexcusable telemarketing and robocalls and harassment of peaceful people in their homes.
Doesn't leave much to pick from, does it?

Obviously, I have had my share....

Get an unlisted phone number and only give the number to family, doctors, schools, and pharmacies. Use your old number or make up a number for everyone else.

We just laugh at them! Goodness knows we'd have our share and for those of you with no land line, I think we are getting YOUR SHARE as well!

My daughter especially enjoys when BarackO calls. I just hang up on them all!!!

Vicki

We have a Panasonic phone that tries to read the Caller ID aloud. It is the greatest thing. We had no idea when we bought it how useful it would be. Now we just wait until it talks before we even move towards the phone. Everything from "Out of Area" or "Toll Free Number" or a candidate name goes straight to voice mail.

You handle them well, Vicki. Kudos.

Someone made the mistake of calling right after I had fallen asleep with a trace of a fever last week.
I might have handled it a little less well...
