Default I am a native NCian

I found this website because I was searching for an indoor dog park! Yes the weather in NC is great but this week for example it's going to rain Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun! I'm off work Thurs and Fri and would love to take my dog to the park outside but NOT in the rain. This winter it was too cold for a dog to be running and getting hot. It would have been nice to have somewhere inside. I don't get home from work until 6 pm. Sure we can go to the park then but we can't stay long after dark, it's just not safe. Yes, we can play in the backyard but he doesn't get to socialize with other dogs.

I'm a native NCian and I'm NOT rolling my eyes at the idea.

What sort of dog do you have? Really, too cold for a dog?

Man, I'd be all for an indoor dog park... I have a snow white Samoyed, and if I take him to an outdoor dog park, he needs a bath immediately LOL

Default Too cold to be healthy

I have a mix breed. He got sick from running around getting hot in the cold weather. Yes it's possible you want to see the vet bills?

Rather than indoor, what about a covered area park? Protection from the sun and rain without the accumilating odor or utillity bills. Or even a combination covered and open areas for the nice days.

I don't go to dog parks because of diseases, irresponsible dog owners (no poop pick up) and dog aggression. Too many idiots that bring in there dog aggressive dogs.

Humans, nor other animals, get colds from running around in cold weather. Viruses and bacteria cause that, not weather!!

Yes, I'd love to see the vet bill. Especially the part which says "caused by running around in cold weather"

Default now THIS is a great idea.

Especially if one could enjoy a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Dog parks get used when there's a lot of human socialization as much as doggy socialization. I think that helps people come back over and over--when they have enjoyment too. IMHO.
Excellent idea. Love it. Would love to start it.

No kidding. Correlation is not causation. But you can't fix people that don't understand basic logic.

It is a great idea and if you restrict bully breeds. Have lots of rules and waivers and client agreements signed first. Total vet checks and proof of them and temperment tests before memebership is granted. Do it right and keep it strict and the peopel will come.

Invent a Doggie Bowl. A stadium with a roof that opens on sunny days.
