We have been enjoying the half priced tapas and pitcher of Sangria at Red Room on Mondays. They also serve half priced paella and glasses of Sangria on Thursdays, though we haven't gone for that yet. I think they rolled out the half priced paella night recently.

I recently got to enjoy these specials. Good times indeed.

If anyone wants to join in the discussing and see the blog entry that was mentioned on the video, The Mint, Fins At Risk of Closing? | New Raleigh, NC, thats the link to it.

Personally I think it would be a huge blow to Fayetteville St and the Raleigh food scene if Mint and Fin close down. No these places are not cheap but its nice to have a fine dining option downtown.

I can't say I'd be surprised if they did though. I've been to Mint to drink at the bar several times (I'd love to eat there, but their menu is light on vegetarian options) and the dining room was always sparsely populated. I've yet to hit Fin's, but it's pretty empty too when I walk by.

The dining room at the Mint is truly beautiful, IMO. I love the way the crystal in the windows twinkles.
