I have tried most pizzerias in the area and the best is Anna's in downtown Apex. Owner is from Long Island and the pizza is as close to traditional as you will find.
One thing that I find puzzling is the love for Lilly's pizza. It was the worst junk that I have ever tasted.
Chinese Food: To- Go - King Chef on Capital Blvd. Cheap, Fast and GOOD! Not the cleanest, not the best customer service, bu ANY means, but heck- $4.80 for any "standard" chinese dish- you can't go wrong.

I'll pay for CLEAN, thank you. And thanks for the heads up.
there must be oat least 100 pizza joints in the area if not more. Anyway- Most everyone that I know that has eaten at Lilly's, loves it. I sure do. Piccolo Italian at CV is authentic and great as well. We also enjoy Moonlight Pizza in DTR and the wood oven pizza's at The Point are awesome. Vic's at city market has great pies as well. They are transplanted NY's that serve great Italian food.

I don't know... I rather like the extra "kick" in food from slightly dubious, always dim, sort-of-in-a-scary-part-of-town Chinese/chicken wing/Caribbean hole-in-the-wall, no-tables-take-out-only establishments.
