Okay, Christmas is coming and I am wondering what people are planning on doing this year that might be different from years past. A friend of mine is making every family she normally gives gifts to a meal instead. Something they can put in the freezer and save for one of those hectic nights. What are you doing? Looking for creative ideas to give people something they actually WANT and save some $$.
One suggestion is to bake cookies. You can by tins at the dollar store usually 2 for a $1.00. It's inexpensive and everyone loves them. You can also pick up boxed cards and regular cards there.
I'm buying frames and ordering large prints of family photos for the folks, brother, sis, grandparents, and friends. You can find gorgeous old frames at the flea markets, in Habitat, garage sales, and fix them up, stain or spray paint.
I happened to get the idea when I was wishing my brother would make me some big prints of some European architecture from their trip last spring. So, how do I ask for that????
