Default What is best place to build custom home?

We are considering a relo to the Raleigh area. From most of our research it seems like Cary or N. Raleigh is the best places to live. We want to build a custom home on a 1/2+ acre lot, but would also like neighboorhood amenities like pool, play area for kids, fitness center, etc. (Not all required, but preferred).

Could someone please recommend any good subdivisions? We are flexible on price somewhat and plan to build about a 4,000 sq ft home.

If you are looking at that sort of money...you aren't going to have a bad neighborhood....what more is there to say? Find a development you like and have at.

why not check out the John Wieland development at Southbridge adjacent to Cary Park. There is a community pool at Cary Park and the Greenways for walking.

I live in North Raleigh and because you are near the lakes, the area is protected with 1 acre zoning. This area has some amazing homes. Cary, although it has nice homes and is very beautiful, you have a harder time finding lots that are over 1/2 acre. If you want some more links and "new home" information you can email me at lsprufera@fmrealty.com.
