Hi,

I am wondering if there is a site where most jobs in the research triangle are posted? I have been checking craigslist for the last year for mostly biology research jobs and hardly see anything. I was under the impression there are quite a bit of jobs in this area so just wondering if I am looking in the wrong place.

Thanks!

This previous thread had a good list of job search websites...
Where to look for a job in RTP?

You should also try the universities (UNC, Duke, and NC State are the largest).

You might have more success targeting your search to specific companies. Beaker.com is ramping up as well.

Gawd, where do people keep getting this stuff? Have you been reading Exit MA Now's posts?

Yes, the job market here is better here than a lot of places, but it's not great. This is NOT the Land of Milk & Honey. Just feel the need to put that out there, because lots of people are having trouble finding work here, and quite a few of the big employers in the area are laying off. We are not immune.

Having said that, you'd do best to do some online searching to find local companies in the industry, then go hit their sites directly. Otherwise, you'll probably wind up with a lot of contract positions.

Check out rtp.org

They have lists of all the companies in RTP. Go through each one and check out their sites/apply individually. My wife did that and got an interview in a couple of weeks. She is in biochemistry
