There's a wonderful place in Glenwood South in downtown Raleigh called the Cupcake Shoppe. Super cute place with to-die-for cakes, cupcakes, etc. They definitely do cakes because they say so on their website, and there are also pictures of wedding cakes. Give them a call. The quality is supreme. 104 Glenwood. 821-4223. Welcome to the Cupcake Shoppe Bakery in Raleigh, NC

This lady makes great cakes...don't know for sure about 7 layer or not, but you should try her...much less $$$ than Edible Art and better tasting! She may not be quite as 'professional' but i LOVE every cake she's made for me!!!!

It's funny you know. I called up one of the shops mentioned above and a cake that cost me $12 in Nassau County Long Island, costs $55 plus tax here. So I called the place in Long Island up and they said they will ship me the cake and it will still cost me less then $55!! Go figure. I will call Susie tomorrow and she what she says. Thanks again everybody.

You can try Victoria's Sweets. They have one shop in Morrisville and the other one near Southpointe Mall. Amazng cakes - not sure if they do a seven layer one, but you can always check...

Um ... that is funny ... I didn't realize you could get a store bought cake for $12 anywhere. I think the small desserts are at least $20 at any bakery I've been to in the last month.
