I remember back in the day, I could find many great places to buy electronics (headphones, speaker, TV's and so on). Now it seems that these places are a little more limited and their inventory is pathetic. You can choose either item A, B or C, rather than A to Z. Where is everyone buying their electronic merchandise from around here? Tweeter is out of business. Is there a Cambridge Soundworks? What else is there, other than BB & CC?
Try Tiger Direct on Capital Blvd. They re mainly an online biz but have an outlet store here. They have just recently renovated their store and have good prices/selection.
I would agree with the poster who mentioned Tiger Direct. I just went to the one at Northgate Mall in Durham and they had a very good selection to choose from many different items. I haven't been to the one on Capital Blvd.
What they don't have in-store they can get from their on-line warehouse.
Best prices look to the web I would recommend the following. Rated in order I would buy electronics from.
1) Amazon.com - most of the time tax free and white glove shipping free.
2) Buy.com
3) Newegg.com
4) Tigerdirect.com - local store in Raleigh and durham
5) CDW.com reputable but priced high sometimes.
6) Dell.com reputable but priced high sometimes.
Beleive it or not if you are looking for TV's you might want to check out walmart sams or costco. I find hhgreg, bestbuy, circuit city to be way over priced they any of the above site. I ahve not bought anything from a retail store in years...they just cant match the prices I find online. Do you research in stores buy on the web is my philosophy.
Tiger Direct simply Roars with electronic gadgets! From Asynchronous laptops to zoological shows on their HD Tv's! Just a word of caution a lot on their stuff is refurbished so you may have some issues with it.
