If I could get this I would be saving about $11 a month over time what I would have to pay for TWC. Remember, DVR and "DVR Service" is included in this price which might make it seem higher.

With TWC, I am paying around $105 for 3 TV's, HD, DVR, High Speed Internet (not the base speed), plus a couple extras.

Do you also have premium channels? because that's what the at&t plan is including (I think showtime was checked off)
Im on a package as well ...I have 1 HD DVR, 2 HD boxes, one normal box plus internet and phone, with the extra HD tier plus HBO and Showtime and my bill without the package at current rates would be WELL over 200.00 with my package its right at about 150.00
it pretty obvious the At&t package is a better deal when placed side by side just for the extra HD channels you get alone. lol charlton to you work TWC or something !?!?!
TWC has ONE HBO and ONE showtime in HD At&t has them ALL in HD from HBO Fam on down. heaven forbid I miss a show on ShowHD and want to watch it later on non SHOW West .........

I just went through the AT&T prices posted and it is at least $20 more than I am paying on TWC for the comparable package and I don't even know if it contains UNCHD, which I can't live without. Plus it states that EVERY TV must have a receiver which they will charge for after the first. THAT is even more money for people that watch TV straight from cable. AT&T looks like it is VERY expensive compared to TWC.

To get a comparable package I'd have to get U200 for $59 and then add on the HD package for $15 which comes to $74 a month! With a lot of content being available online and with renting movies I don't even know if it is worth it to pay $1000 a year for cable when I only watch a couple channels. For $20 I can hook up an antenna to my plasma and get all the local HD channels for free. Throw in a $100 HD tuner card to my computer and I can record all of that as well.

Yeah you do need a box in every room to use all the extra features you get (like using one DVR and watching your recordings in any room with a box). Im not saying at&t is going to save you TONS of cash but you definitely get more for your money with the AT&T U verse than with TWC especially if you are an advid TV/movie watcher and you are already paying on the higher end for cable.
TWC's High end offerings are like renting a race car but they wont let you go past 2nd gear.

That is either a friend and family rate or a promotional rate.

It's not quite comparing apples to apples if you have some sort of special deal because you know someone who works at the company. I know when I had TWC I was paying over $100 a month for 1 TV (regular not HD), maybe a DVR (can't remember), high-speed internet (not the highest tier) and NO premium channels.
Frankly if I couldn't get Directv I'd pay more to have AT&T over TWC anyhow!

TWC is, to be certain, moving to a system where you need some sort of box for every TV in the house. All in the name of saving bandwidth, and allowing more channels (and HD) to be pushed over the pipe without massive infrastructure upgrades. The nice advantage of not needing a box for each TV in the house, a longtime cable selling point, will be ending before long.
