hi all! I just received an offer to relocate to Raleigh. Can anyone tell me if they offer a VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarden) program in NC? We have 4 year old twins, and are hoping for a low/no cost pre-school program for them. Is there anything like this avail in Raleigh area?

If not, could someone share the avg cost of daycare? do the colleges offer discounted daycare for employees or general public?

thanks!

I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that there isn't a voluntary pre-kindergarten program in Wake County, except for programs for at-risk and children in poverty. I found this chart summarizing their offerings:

There have been lots of threads here on daycares and costs. I think this is a good one:

Daycare and preschool costs? just curious
