Default School districts and property values

My house is in the Millbrook school district, but (as I have no kids and have never researched these things) I have no idea if I still am in the Millbrook district now that it will be a magnet. Now I find myself wondering if this change positively or negatively affects my property value. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Not that property values matter much right now considering it's not like anyone could sell at this point in time!

You can find out what your base schools are, based on your "node", as well as year-round and magnet options are, by inputting your address here:
Determine School by Student Address

Homes are still being bought and sold.

Millbrook HS is not at the top of the ratings. My son, however, got a great education there.

Since the IB won't start right away, any effect will be years in coming.

Well, we don't have kids, so if we do stay here, no kid of ours will hit high school for at least 14 years (probably more). I just was wondering if/ how this would affect my neighborhood. I used the link above and got this result for my base school:

Base Schools Elementary School (K1-01-02-03-04-05) FOX ROAD ELEMENTARY PLEASE NOTE: This is a traditional calendar school with a base. It also accepts students by application in February for the following school year. Middle School (06-07-08) EAST MILLBROOK MIDDLE PLEASE NOTE: This is a magnet school with a base. It also accepts students by application in February for the following school year. High School (09-10-11-12) MILLBROOK HIGH

East Millbrook is a disaster full of racial unrest and other behavior issues. It's one of the worst in Raleigh.

My son survived it because he's over 6 feet and has an Irish temper from his Mom.

With the redistricting, however, your school assignments could change.
