We lived in Apex for 3 months before buying a house in Holly Springs. Both are very nice, but Apex is much more congested and built up than HS (for now at least). There are more shopping centers in Apex. HS is starting to build up too. Several new shopping centers are planned and work has started on a Walmart. Lots of new subdivisions going up too. Housing prices are still lower in HS. A new high school just opened last year and a new elementary school will open this year. A new library/cultural center opened last Dec. There are also several very nice parks. Like the previous poster suggested, try a forum search. There are quite a few threads regarding this area. Any specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Good luck !
