Default Spring Hope?

Looked at some land (via the net) there today. Just wanted to know about the area.
How far is it to Raleigh, RTP, etc...
Any other interesting info is appreciated. Thanks

It's out there. I believe in Franklin or Nash County. Very Very Rural. Might be a good investment though. Eventurally Growth may spill out that way. I don't even know if they have your basic resturant chains.

I lived in Spring Hope for 5 years before I moved 5 miles south. Spring Hope is a cute town that boasts the Pumpkin Festival every October. It was a Food Lion and Lowes Food grocery across the street from each other that is odd. There is a Burger King as well a Subway, Andy's and a Kicking-A Chinese take-out. It definately has the "Mayberry" feel. There is an antique auction at least once a month and the quality is pretty good. There are some very good people there. We are moving away but I have fond memories as well as some good friends that we are leaving behind. It is cute, but it all depends on what you are looking for. It is in Nash County and a half mile north of US 64 which is 70 MPH so you can be to Raleigh in 35-40 minutes or Rocky Mount in 20 minutes.

Thanks so much. That helps tremendously. It did look like it was pretty far out there. But we kinda like that. I don't mind the lack of chain restaurants. I actually prefer the mom/pop places. Do they have a coffee shop of any kind? Library? One blink-and-you-miss-it town in Kansas only had a hotel with a restaurant just off the interstate, but that was where all the farmers and locals came for breakfast and coffee bright and early. Something like that is just fine with me

Default spring hope

Spring hope used to have a true (espresso, etc.) coffee shop, but it closed down. It does have a couple "good ole boy" cafes for breakfast. SMALL library. You may be just as interested in Nashville, its 10 miles further, has a great little coffee shop, bigger library, more stuff to do. Wow! And they're getting a wal-mart next (not sure that's a good thing, except the growth). Good luck!! (Nashville has better schools, better environment, more quaint...and a bit more expensive, but not bad)
