we are looking at homes@highcroft.They look custom and really amazing. But the lot size bothers me. Infact the lot size in cameron pond, lenar and many places in cary seems to be small. we are trying to stay 400-420K. we want to be in Cary.We like Weldon ridge, but not sure if it will be a good investment because it is way in the interior. The only down side we see to highcroft is the lot size.is there any that i should be concerned.
We do not want basement homes, but looking for a bonus room.Pulte does not have bonus rooms@harmony.We defi did not like MI/KB homes.advice pls!?

Highcroft homes seem to sell, so for the mass market, it would seem that the lot size is not a major impediment.
I would suggest avoiding a lot with a storm water pond behind, backing up to highway noise, or the other things that diminish the appeal of a lot of any size.
A corner lot may help, since there will only be a home on one side.

Why is a water pond behind the house not a good thing.

Isn't 540 going to be blasting through the backside of Highcroft?

It IS a good thing if you are talking about an idyllic Walden Pond.

It may be less of a good thing if you are looking at an algae covered stormwater impoundment full of muddy water with a huge iron grate and no fence or landscaping around it.
Cosmetically negative, and an attractive nuisance for kids to boot.

Highcroft is a fairly broad neighborhood, and on the east side it may be argued reasonably that 540 will represent a benefit.
540 will likely be very close to some homes on the SW side of the community. There 540 will be less beneficial, indeed.

540 will surely happen when/if the bonds are bought/sold. It is approved, as I understand it.
