Time-Warner Cable
I just read were the Viacom Channels (comedy central-MTV, Nickelodeon to name a few) will no longer be broadcast on T-W as of Jan 1 because T_W refuses to negotiate with Viacom.. Now, they are raising their rates and going to lose a bunch of channels..These cable companies need to be put out of their misery..

You're kidding?? Wow. If this is true, this makes me even happier about taking the plunge on nailing a salad bowl to the side of my house when we move in February.

I love it when cable stations raise their rates and then say the cable companies are to blame for not paying. To me if the cost of running your station goes up and you run advertising you should make up the difference by selling more advertising or increasing your rates. The cable company will pass the increase on to the viewers, meaning the viewers pay more to watch increasing commercial breaks with less programming. To add insult to injury cable companies pay for stations that no one watches or cares about because the companies like Viacom put them in the contracts as a package. It all drives me nuts, thank god for antennas, Netflix and the Interwebs.

Attention Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks customers, starting tonight, you will lose your favorite MTV shows on TV and online because of a dispute with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. You can stop this! Time Warner Cable customers call 1-800-762-3786 and Bright House Networks customers call 1-866-309-3279, AND DEMAND THEY KEEP YOUR CHANNEL! YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO CALL.

TWC is a horrible company. At least you can watch full episodes online.

I find it hard to believe they are actually going to go through with this. These are some of the core channels people watch. It's just another reason to dump cable.

Tw
My husband called the number on the screen and after pressing buttons ect trying to get through, he got nowhere but mad. I think they are closed, but why post the number to call at 230 am if they are not answering the phone.
The screen caption did say things like "Dont miss out on" and "You can stop this and to call the number.
Hmm... I am thinking about satelite now. My daughter loves some of the Nick shows.

I heard something like this a few years ago. In addition to calling the 800 number, I'd try a local customer care center.

Start watching Fox which provides accurate information instead. TWC is adding a bunch of HD channels. They really deliver a quality product.
