Default Does tenant pay for propane tank rental for propane gas fireplace

I would like to know what is customary in Raleigh:

Do tenants pay for the propane gas tank rental, installation and re-fills for fireplaces and BBQ? (Home is heated via an electric furnace).
Thanks,
Out-of-state Homeowner

You have no right to install anything without the landlord's permission if it causes any damage to the property. Get this in writing.

If the items are in place when you rent, cost would be something tenant negotiates with landlord similar to water bills.

thank you, Saturnfan. The fireplace has a propane gas log available for hook-up of the propane tank. It seems expensive to rent the tank/pay for installation and de-installation and for the gas itself..., but I guess if they want to pay for it, it is their business.

I just leased a new home here in the raleigh area and the homeowners paid for a tank to be set and the first full tank of gas. I will be paying for refils. I consider this fair.
