Looks like we will be getting some more local brew here in the Triangle.
The Lone Rider Brewery is scheduled to open later this month in Raleigh. From their website it looks like their first public tour of the brewery will be Friday January 23rd. I imagine eventually you will be able to purchase their beer at local stores and restaurants.
Below is a picture from their website. It is located on Glendwood avenue close to where 70 intersects 540 near the airport and Brier Creek. Looking forward to checking this place out.
As I have no use for wasting my precious time drinking, but the positive I see out of this would be more jobs. Just about anything that creates more jobs is A-OK with me. A toast to the new brewery!

It created one new job that pays close to minimum wage. The 3 guys who started the brewery still kept their day jobs and did this in their spare time
I don't get their name though....seems like it should be out west or something. If they ever brew an IPA we may try it.
Yes. A perfect name for a TX brewery
Are you saying that you won't drink a beer unless it's an IPA? Why limit yourself? That's like saying that you won't eat any kind of cheese except cheddar. I participated in a beer tasting at the brewery a few weeks ago. We compared Lonerider's wheat beer to a number of other commercial wheat beers and Lonerider's was the best, hands down. I also have high hopes for their porter. A little too roasty for my taste, but still a very solid porter. I'm secretly hoping that they ask me for my American brown ale recipe
Cool! As a relo'd Westerner, love the theme. I love to waste my precious free time in a brewery. It's kid friendly, right? ("A baby? In a bar?" You betcha!)

I'll trade you your Brown ale for my IPA, or better yet, a double-black stout, reminiscent of an old brew from Redhook? Partial mash.
I always want to like Brown ales, but am always underwhelmed, but I'm willing to try yours. I'm just a good 'ol hop-head American Pale Ale type of guy I guess.
Duck Rabbit and Bell's both have excellent brown ales. DR's is particularly hoppy.
I'm definitely going to try this one out. I love a good hefeweizen (usually during the summer).
The article that I read about them in the Indy said that they wanted to focus away from the trend of big beers. I was really hoping for a good session beer brewer, so 5.3% and 7% ABV is a little higher than what I expected. Regardless, they both sound good.
