Default what's between the RTP and Chapel Hill/Carrboro?

i am thinking that this would be the best area for my family, but just making sure this is a nice area with good schools? i am assuming the area between the RTP and Chapel Hill would be the Hope Valley area? any other areas i should be sure to look for a house if i wanted to be close to both the RTP and Chapel Hill?

Pretty much all of southern Durham is between RTP and Chapel Hill: Hope Valley, Southpoint, etc.

1/2 of Meadowmont is in Chapel Hill school district (Rashkis) and 1/2 is not. The Chapel Hill school system 1/2 has great schools and much higher taxes to go with it.

Meadowmont is a whole community unto itself--all brand new, very well built homes and townhomes on postage stamp lots. Crammed next to one another, but has a nice little "town" and good quality homes.
