Hi

Can anyone give me some input/ opinions on Treyburn? Does anyone live there? Do you like it? Is it a nice, safe, kid-friendly neighborhood? My family and I are looking at a couple of homes there and want to know a bit more about it. Also, it seems that quite a few homes are for sale there right now. Any ideas of why that might be?

Thanks!

My guess would be things move slower in Treyburn because they're higher-end properties (one of the most exclusive n'hoods in Durham), which tend to have a more selective market base.

Treyburn is a very attractive and popular area, particularly for its setting up in a very rustic part of the county. The northern Durham area also has two very good high schools (Northern and Riverside) which is a plus too.

If there's anything I personally dislike about that area, it's that shopping is somewhat scarce relative to southern Durham, but that's changing (Crosland, a big NC developer, is looking to build some shopping centers up near Treyburn, for instance.)

Default Thank you

Thank you for the comments 'Bull City Rising'. A few months ago I posted a similar question and never received a clear opinion and yours makes a lot of sense.
