We have an open house scheduled for this afternoon. We have had open houses about once a month. The traffic seems to be coming in dribs and drabs. I know the days of droves of people coming to open houses is probably over but I am curious how many visitors to an open house is considered successful?
Well..........today is the acc championship game, so if they are fans, you probably won't see people between 1 and 4. Open houses tend to be dribs and drabs (lots of nosey neighbors as well). I have done open houses in more walkable neighborhoods (in five points) and it was a steady stream of people (probably 30 total) which is good for this area.
In DC, people go and see homes during open houses, it is common practice. Here, it is not the main thing (I think debbief said 3 percent of homes are sold through an open house) that sells homes.
Open houses do better here on sunday afternoons..........typically.
A "successful open house" would be one in which you SELL the house you are holding open or...
You find buyers that want YOU to show them other homes!!!
Is that a trade secret???
