Does anyone know if NBC 17 will broadcast the Superbowl in HD in Raleigh? I have a HD box and new flatscreen, and people coming over for the game, but my NBC channels are awful. Any thoughts?

are you using channel 217? that is the hd ncb 17 channel. If I use the 'regular' cable channel for nbc (06) on our hd television with the hd box, it is a terrible picture as well.

look at your guide, there is a whole section that is just the hd channels.

abc 211
nbc 217
cbs 255

She is correct. All of the regular local channels will look like poo poo on your new TV. You will need to tune into HD broadcast channels to get the picture you are craving. It was a stunner for the wife and I when we hooked ours up the first time.

Direct TV makes their package sound good, but I will tell you that you get more bang for your HD buck through Time Warner Cable.
