Hey guys,

Thanks for the quick responses. We are about to put our current dream home on the market - a 107 year old home in Winston-Salem (in Washington Park, close to old salem) and are completely smitten with the personality of old houses. I've taken a new job in Wake Forest.

We'd prefer something around 2000 sq feet, with a reasonable yard (@ .5+ acre if possible) - something like a craftsman style that might need work or old farm house. We're neuvo hippies who love organic food, cooking, environmentalism, gardening, and good books. Old places just suit us!

I'd consider a drive of 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum to work.

Thought I'd ask to see what you might suggest. Thanks again!!

Hey Higginshome, sounds you like you and me are peas in a pod! I'll keep a lookout. You know, if you live on the outskirts of Durham and took 540 to Wake Forest, I'm pretty sure youre commute wouldn't be that bad. But that's me, let's keep me in context: I currently live in the Washington DC metro area. I was driving 1.5 hours to, and 1.5 from, school. And people wonder why it's taking me so long to finish up! LOL! ANYTHING is an improvement.

We are also considering Winston-Salem as an option, but we are moving next year. I'd love to see the listing for your house!

It's beautiful, of course! Yeah, me too. But things happen as they should I suppose. I wish you much luck in selling your beautiful home!
