Question Looking for restaurants and Bars with outdoor seating

Now that spring appears to have arrived in the Triangle my wife and I are looking forward to discovering new restaurants and bars that offer outdoor seating. I was hoping people on this forum could share names of their favorite places that offer this option. I know there are several places along Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh with nice outdoor seating, and then there is the Flying Saucer a little further down.

Any good places in Cary, Durham, or Wake Forest with nice outdoor seating that we should check out?

Thanks for the tips!

On the Durham side, I'd check out Brightleaf: Alivia's, and also The Federal (the latter of which is actually much better outdoors to avoid all the bar smoke inside!) Tyler's and Mellow Mushroom down at American Tobacco have good outdoor seating options, too.

I know in north raleigh (off of six forks) many people enjoy the rooftop dining at rudino's.

Chapel hill rooftop dining at top of the hill

Chapel hill nice outside area at the wine bar

Most restaurants have outdoor areas all over the place, carolina ale house in cary is one we used to go to quite a bit

A new Coffee/Wine bar is opening this week outside the Governors club in Chapel Hill. I was out there today, and it is beautiful in there. Nothing like it in the area. My daughter is going to manage it. It is called Bean and Barrel. How cute is that?

In west Raleigh, Porter's Tavern has great outdoor seating, but for two only (narrow patio). In the Five Points area, NoFo, Third Place, and Lily's Pizza have good sidewalk eating.
You're right about downtown on the Glenwood South area having great outdoor seating...Bistro 607, Hard Times, Armadillo, Red Room etc.
Also downtown, check out Humble Pie in the warehouse district...it's a real treat. Not to mention Moonlight Pizza in Boylan Heights. And in City Market, Vic's Italian has a cute sidewalk eating area.

For Durham, I'll defer to BCR's recs. I seem to remember some of the Ninth Street eateries having nice sidewalk tables too.
Of course, the best outdoor eating in Durham has got to be Cosmic Cantina's ROOFTOP tables!

In Chapel Hill/Carrboro, some of my faves are Weaver Street Market lawn eating....Elmo's Diner....and Top of the Hill.

In Cary I would try Stonewood Grill off of the Cary Parkway at Preston. There is another Stonewood Grill located at Falls of Neuse and Lynn Rd. in Raleigh. Both locations have outdoor seating.

Other areas I would recommend for outdoor seating in Raleigh would be Cameron Village and Noth Hills.

Napper Tandy's and the Flying Saucer in Raleigh have outdoor seating. In Cary the Hibernian has it as well.

I love the patio at Guglhupf (durham). you can get a beer/glass of wine and a couple of nibbles. they close early, though (7 or 8 I think)

All the restaurants at Brightleaf have outdoor dining (except Nikos, I think).

If you're venturing as far west as Carrboro, Acme has a lovely patio, as does Glasshalfull, as does Southern Rail, as does Milltown, as does Panzanella. Even Elmo's has a nice patio. (Carrboro's the place to go for al fresco, i suppose).

My Sweetie and I had lunch on the covered patio at Hibernian today.
Quite pleasant.

I occasionally like the Sawmill Taproom in N. Raleigh. Rudino's rooftop, Pipers Tavern and Mellow Mushroom - Glenwood South along with a burger joint named MoJos (no parking though). I like Brightleaf square in Durham too.
