In these tough economic times, should local governments be holding banquets for 150 people?
Or was an "up and coming" small town just following Cary's bad example?
Zebulon and Cary are really setting horrible, no good, very bad examples for the rest of the state. Does state or local law provide for recall elections so we can throw out these ne'er-do-wells in charge of these municipalities who are letting our precious precious dollars go to such waste?

It was a Chamber of Commerce event, and had nothing to do with local government. The C of C is a private enterprise, and not part of any government, local or otherwise.
By the way, the banquet was held to honor a man who has brought business, new residents, and new jobs to the area. It was funded by local business members who are making an effort to do the same thing across eastern Wake county. They raise funds for charity. They are active in crime prevention through cooperative efforts with local law enforcement.
