Default Outdoor Kitchens

Has any one out there put in an outdoor kitchen?

We are starting to get ideas on what we want and what will work in the area.

I am thinking about a bricked or pad area with a trellis or "cover" of some kind. I dont want only a grill, but am looking to add a full gas range as well. Of course an ice maker for refreshments.

So if anyone has local companies that do this type of work or where I could find some good examples.

THANKS!!

Oh, I'm so jealous!! An outdoor kitchen would be awesome! I have a friend who was thinking of putting in one but decided against it. (Her concern was resale...not too many folks are looking for this feature in rainy Portland.)
Anyway, I remember she had checked out some cool books on the subject from the local library. AND www.hgtv.com had some GREAT ideas and good information. I did a google search of outdoor kitchens and the image search that came back has me green with envy.

Have fun designing and building. And when you're done invite us all over for dinner!

This website has some pretty impressive ones:

We had one back in CA and quickly realized we could not live without one here especially the grill. We just had our landscaping plans completed and will be implementing them shortly. There are many items I left off this time that we just did not think worked efficiently and others we added that we wished we had in our last place. I can't wait! I am pretty sure we will be using a few different companies to get the job done. We are doing a combination of stamped and colored concrete with stacked stone. Three terraced patios that connect with steps etc. Seating walls, built in grill, lighting and all the greenery as well. I can PM you who we used and are using if you are interested.

I don't know where you live, but if you live in Cary or near Cary, Greyhawk subdivision near the intersection of 1010 and Kildaire Farm Rd. has some homes with some nice outdoor kitchens. I don't know how many homes are open right now but if you are in the area you should stop by. They are use to people just coming to see the models for fun.
