31,000 is a minority compared to the 125,000+ in Wake County Schools. There is a reason why parents choose Wake County over Durham.

FYI - If you "could" care less, that means you care a lot and could care less. If you "couldn't" care less, then that would mean you don't care at all, thus you could "not" care less. Just a little lesson that one might learn from a Wake County School.

Ummm...that's 2. 1 + 1 = 2. Southern (1) + Hillside (1) = (2) schools.
These were just the most obvious ones. There are many more. There are also very good schools. Overall, the Durham schools are much more hit or miss compared to Wake County (especially Western Wake County) or even more so schools around the Chapel Hill area. Look how many people are willing to pay a HUGE premium to live around Chapel Hill simply because of the better school system.

And just for the record, how old are your children and which schools in Durham did they attend?

Where did that randomness come from? You and some people you've talked to is still a minority compared to 31K.

Yes it does. That's why I always try to put the things I like and don't like out there. Like in Cary how I love most things which I have documented as well as how I have documented that I don't care for Downtown Cary, the Cary Crossroads layout and in some ways Cary's proximity to the cities. I do point out things I do not care for in Cary and I point out stuff I do like in Durham, such as Southpoint, Duke Gardens, the charities in Durham that I contribute to/work for/favor and multiple posts about some fine things going on in Durham and some great Durham contributors. It seems that the only thing some people want to hear is a complete praising of Durham and a complete bashing of Cary. For some reason, people ignore when I post issues I have with Cary and praise I have for Durham.

Until this post, I have never read you saying that you had anything bad to say about Cary.

Since many more people live in Wake County than Durham County, this comparison doesn't work. Now if you would like to compare the percentage of Durham County parents to the percentage of Wake County parents in regards to their feelings about their children's education, that would be a much better indicator.
According to our friend, Wikipedia, Durham County is 290 sq. miles of land while Wake County is 832 sq. miles of land. Of course there will be more people and therefore more students in Wake County.

It would be best to use the search function. It allows you to find these posts I made about things I do not favor in Cary. I also posted that I am a little concerned about the rising crime rate in Cary. I call them as I see them. I have no agenda, just honesty.

Actually it works specifically for that reason. That is the whole point. People are picking Wake County as a place to live over Durham and in many cases it is because that is where they want to raise their children. More people are purposely picking Wake County over Durham, therefore there are more kids in the Wake than in Durham.

More people are probably choosing Wake County over Durham County seeing that Wake County is so much bigger. You can't fit Wake County's population into Durham County, especially since Durham County has more people per square mile compared to Wake County, according to the 2000 Census.
