Sounds like we will soon have an option besides TWC for cable here in Raleigh. Has anyone heard any pros/cons about it? I've done some digging and looks like it's called U-verse. Unfortunately it's not available at my location in N. Raleigh Where is it available in Raleigh?
Before we moved to Cary, we had it in Ohio. The channels was so much clearer then TWC, we also switched over to their high speed internet, the only problem we had with it was the wireless router was not as good as the one we had been using and you can not bypass it so your kinda stuck using it.
The pricing was pretty good, we paid $100 for 200 channels and the fastest high speed they had. We waiting for it to come to where we live now so we can make the switch.
I'm a huge DVR fan and with theirs you can record up to 4 shows at a time...lol
I just got my u-verse installed today. It blow Time Warner's DVR service out of the water. The interface is much better and I can now watch shows upstairs even though I recorded them downstairs. I would take my old DVR box out to a field and go all Office Space on it, but I'm sure TWC would charge me an arm and leg for it.
Oh and BTW, when I called TWC to cancel my service, they offered to take $30 off my bill a month and lock me into a price for 2 years. So even if you can't get u-verse, it might be worth it to call and threaten to cancel and see what they offer you.
Yeah, I'm near Preston and still waiting to hear U-Verse is here. I am locked in with TWC for 2 years but their service has been terrible the past 3 or 4 months. Two DVR's on the fritz. Returning them was even more of a nigthmare.
They've started looking at our lines over here off of Capital/Trawick. Saw a guy out last week at one of the boxes and he said it should be over here by April/May
