Default One free afternoon to look

DH and I are considering retiring to the Triangle in a few years. Having just finished some business in the area, I have one free afternoon today to drive around and get a quick feel for some neighborhoods in the area we are most interested in: 27519.

Yes, it's last minute and I know that few people may see this before I check out of my hotel at 11.

Which would you look at? Brookstone? Sherwood Green? Devereaux, Cary Park? Others?

By the way, one of the people I met with in the course of my business claimed that Cary stands for "Containment area for relocated yankees."

Try Heritage Pines ($250k to $375k) which is a retirement community, Stone Creek Village ($325k to $500k) which is a luxury mixed use townhome community, Carpenter Village ($250k to $1,000,000) has a complete mix of housing arrangements and Preston Village ($300k to $1,000,000+) which are beautiful single family homes plus a few townhomes. Also stop by Searstone, which is a high end retirement community that they are just starting to build.

Thanks. We expect our current home is worth about $350K based on recent sales in our area, and would prefer not to go over tht amount. But we have no need to spend that much if we find something for $300K or $325K.
