Anyone have any feedback on Poe Magnet Montessori? Both of our daughters got in, kindergarten and 4th grade and we're receiving a lot of mixed information.
Thanks in advance!

The only think I've heard negative about it is from a parent who was upset that it wasn't a 'pure' Monstessori she was used to, but instead used Monstessori principles while still following state guidelines. Why she didn't know this going in I don't know, as it's pretty well stated.

You just can't have a public school not teaching kids out to read until second grade as many Monstessori schools do.

We do have one girl in our neighborhood who goes there (would be a 5th grader now) and I worry how she'll transition out of it but that is more from her own personality then the Monstessori program. Last I spoke with her mother she was very pleased with the program and felt it was the best fit for her daughter.

We are finishing up our 2nd year at Poe, and love it. I hope you decided to send your children. It's been a wonderful experience.
